Haley Idol

OK, so last night American Idol made one of their 1st good decisions and had the amazing  stop by to mentor the Top 5. She completely overshadowed harmonized with them and showed what real talent looks like. The theme of this week was  and the contestants sang a current song and a song from "then"?? WTH. James opened the show with a studded leather vest , GAG and a 30 seconds to Mars song which I thought he destroyed, in a what the hell is wrong with you kind of way. His 2nd song was "Without You" by  but of course he "sang" the rock version. He sounded awful and cried...really man, what's wrong with you...milk your situation for as many votes as you can! Bottom 2 in my opinion based on last nights performances.
 went next and sang . He tackled both parts of the duet and then was tackled by everyone that liked that song before but now hated it. He sounded awful and his Drag Queen Runway walk dance moves made me nauseous. He shrieked "Love Hurts" for his 2nd song. Haley could've KILLED this song but with him it was sooo high pitch that my dogs left the room and the only reason it was tolerable was b/c the first song sucked SO bad. Without question he is going home tonight...as Rupaul would say.... Lauren had the middle spot and did pretty well, better than she recently has. She started with "Flat on the floor" by  and did not do better than the original...but who could. "Unchained Melody" was her 2nd choice and I thought she would KILL it but it never went anywhere. It sounded nice and she looked good but it was just blah. That said, I still think she'll easily be in the finals.
Really, you're still here. This idiot, which people seem to like, sang "gone" by Montgomery Gentry...sounded like everything else he's ever sang and then he butchered "you were always on my mind"  rolled over in his grave, I fell asleep, and Wille said  twatty.He didn't do as bad as Jacob, but I'd rather see him go home.
Haley went 5th and sang an unreleased  song, which GAGA gave her permission to do. The judges didn't like it and Haley looked PISSED, but who can blame her..if you're on a karaoke show and one of the worlds most famous musicians allows you to sing  a song they haven't released...if you don't do it then you're an idiot! Steven was the only one that had something positive to say to her and he said he thought she was "One killer song away from being the American Idol." FINALLY SOMEONE WITH SOME SENSE! She closed the show with "house of the rising sun" and blew everyone out of the water! The judges gave her a standing O, which I thought was much deserved. I re-watched the performance 3 times, which I don't usually do. This girl, is more talented & more entertaining than everyone else on the show combined! She has to win this or AI is a joke. Really, white guys that win don't have the best luck...Taylor Hicks works at Burger King, David Cook sings at Kings Island, Kris Allen had one "hit" and Lee Dewyze is a back-up singer for Crystal Bowertwats. I'd buy her cd today, her voice is amazing and I think for the finale FOX should set it up for her to do a duet with . Bottom 2 should easily be any of the guys. I hate Scotty, RU did TERRIBLE and James was a total mess. But I'd have to say Jacob will be packing his  tonight. Sashay Away.
